Mr. Eldrich:
Doctor Balis?
Dr. Balis:
This is he.
Mr. Eldrich:
Oh, okay. Doc, this is Sam. I won't be able to make it today. I have to...well, I've got a job interview scheduled at the same time as our session today. I just spaced it out and didn't realize the conflict until yesterday. By then it was too late to call back to reschedule the interview.
Dr. Balis:
I see.
Mr. Eldrich:
Uh, I want you to know that I'm doing fine, though. I'm just fine, Doc. The medication is starting to work, I think.
Dr. Balis:
Do you feel better than you did last week?
Mr. Eldrich:
Yeah. I think so, anyway. Doc, there's just a lot going on right now.
Dr. Balis:
I understand, but I'm still concerned about you. This is not a good time to miss sessions.
Mr. Eldrich:
I know, Doc. But I've got this interview to concentrate on. It's my first interview for a job in a while, so I've got to make sure that I'm ready for it.
Dr. Balis:
All right. But...
Mr. Eldrich:
It's probably not a big deal for someone like you--you've been working for a while. But for me, every little interview has to be a big deal so that I can do my best.
Dr. Balis:
I see. Can you make it later today, after your interview is over?
Mr. Eldrich:
I don't think so. I'm not really sure how long it's going to take.
Dr. Balis:
Are you planning on coming in next week?
Mr. Eldrich:
I think so. Yeah, I can make it.
Dr. Balis:
I'm happy to hear that.
Mr. Eldrich:
And Doc? I'm sorry for the short notice. I've really been a space cadet lately, especially with this interview coming. Shoot! I need to go and get ready. I'll see you next week at the same time. I mean as long as I don't have to work or anything.
Dr. Balis:
Well, please call me, Sam. I'm sure we'll be able to figure out some times that would work for you. You really shouldn't be missing any more sessions.
Mr. Eldrich:
All right. Bye, Doc.
Dr. Balis:
Goodbye, Sam.
