Ms. Evans:
Hello, Dr. Balis. This is Cassandra Evans. You suggested I give you a call at the end of the week.
Dr. Balis:
Yes. How are you doing, Cassie?
Ms. Evans:
Well, I guess I have been better. Thank goodness Labor Day is this weekend; I need the extra day off to rest.
Dr. Balis:
Doesn't sound like you are doing very much better than your last visit.
Ms. Evans:
I am just worn out, and achy. I can feel my fever spiking up and down all day long. I really don't like to complain, but the past few days I have felt like death warmed over.
Dr. Balis:
Sorry to hear that. How has your sleeping been?
Ms. Evans:
One night, I totally crashed once I hit the bed. Another night, I had trouble falling asleep, and then woke up several times with some ache or pain. I guess it could be worse.
Dr. Balis:
I received a letter from Dr. Halsey. I think he is prepared to get to the bottom of your ailments. Do you have another appointment scheduled with him?
Ms. Evans:
His receptionist is supposed to call me when he gets the preliminary results from the lab. I sure hope he can figure out what is making me like this. I can't take it anymore, feeling so ill and not knowing what it is and how to control it.
Dr. Balis:
I understand. But I think we will pass on the anti-depressant right now. I'd like to wait and see what Dr. Halsey says.
Ms. Evans:
Okay. Have a good weekend.
Dr. Balis:
You too. Goodbye. And feel free to call me if you need to.
Ms. Evans:
I will, thanks. Bye.
